The GOTTHARD PANORAMA EXPRESS connects German-speaking Central Switzerland with Ticino. The journey begins on a charming historic boat that crosses the blue waters of Lake Lucerne.
A unique travel experience by boat and train to admire charming coves, picturesque landscapes and places rich in history. You will see the Schiller Stone or the Rütli Meadow, where Switzerland was founded in 1291. Historic steamboats alternate with modern motorboats on the lake.
At Flüelen you will disembark from the boat and continue on the panoramic train to Lugano or Locarno.
The train crosses the Gotthard massif, to climb which it faces a series of impressive helical tunnels. You will admire the church of Wassen from three different angles.
